Damiano is known for proudly having more than 30 tattoos over his body and wears them as a part of his look. He said in an interview that he got the first one done a day after his 18th birthday “because my parents didn’t allow me to that, but I was like, obsessed with those”. Named after his first studio album with Måneskin, he has Il Ballo della Vita across his collarbones, which translates to “the dance of life”.
Rose on the left shoulder

He has a flower on his left shoulder with the word “mom” under in, dedicated to his mother, Rossella Scognamiglio.
Butterfly on the right shoulder

On his right shoulder, he has a butterfly tattoo with “dad” written under it, dedicated to his father, Daniele David.

He has a snake wrapped around an apple above his stomach, which can be seen as a reference to the serpent in Adam and Eve’s portion in the Bible.
Icarus

He has Icarus’ wings tattooed on his hips with the following quote in Italian, which translates to: “for that pair of wings of gold we would have paid all the gold in the world”. The myth of Icarus is a story from Greek mythology about a boy who flew with wings made of bird feathers to escape a labyrinth, but fell when the wax that held them together melted.
